Researchers at EMPAC have developed the patent-pending PreVis platform, capable of generating a mobile digital twin of any venue's audio, video, lighting, and staging systems. Artists, presenters, and production teams use this tool to test speaker arrays, sound movement, lighting states, and production cues inside a virtual model well before load-in, and without specialized training.

The idea behind PreVis is straightforward, even if its implications run deep: previsualization is typically treated as a back-of-house technical exercise, when in fact it shapes the artwork itself. This app moves it into artists' hands earlier.
