Christopher Fisher-Lochhead
Christopher Fisher-Lochhead’s work reflects an interest in cultivating adventurous and inclusive environments for music-making, exploring critical approaches to notation and technique, and examining contemporary fissures of class and identity by engaging with rooted tradition and cultural memory. His music has been performed by soloists and ensembles around the world and his music has been described as "a knockout" by The New Yorker's Alex Ross, an "imaginative tour-de-force" by Boston Globe's David Weininger, and "cheerfully anarchic stuff" by Chicago Tribune's John Von Rhein. He holds degrees from the University of Michigan and Northwestern University, and teaches on the faculty of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
