Haruna Lee

Haruna Lee is an experimental playwright and performance maker, screenwriter, and community steward based in Brooklyn, NY. Their recent plays include DADBOT, 49 Days, and Suicide Forest. Lee is a recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, Creative Capital Award, a Steinberg Playwright Award, an Obie Award, and was a Susan Smith Blackburn Prize Finalist receiving Special Commendation. Their writing has been published by Broadway Licensing, Yale’s Theater Magazine, Table Work Press, and 53rd State Press. Haruna Lee teaches at Hunter College and Yale University in the MFA Playwriting Programs.
