Maarten Visser

Maarten Visser is a saxophonist and composer living in Chennai. He has written music for bands including MV3, oto.3, MV-Hj, and currently Many Things. He has been collaborating with contemporary dancer Padmini Chettur since 1999, and their work has resulted in 10 stage performances and three video installations. Other projects for which he has scored music include two feature films, a theater production, and an animation film. He is a founding member of the artist collective Basement 21, and also works as a freelance musician for corporate parties, launches, and festivals. Visser graduated from Brabants Conservatorium with a specialization in contemporary improvised music.
