Rama Gottfried
Rama Gottfried's recent works are conceived as scenographic worlds. They are vibrant ecosystems constructed with the substances of acoustic and electronic instrumental performance, puppet, object, and material theater, live-cinema, and site-specific performance. As part of Ensemble Pamplemousse from 2003-2013, Rama collaborated to develop approaches merging sound, installation, and performance arts. His works have since been featured in Lincoln Center's Mostly Mozart Festival, and MaerzMusik, rainy days, and Ultima festivals, among others. Rama holds a PhD from UC Berkeley, and became a professor at Zurich University of the Arts in 2022.
