ISATMA 2024
The International Symposium on Assistive Technologies for Music and Art (ISATMA) explores listening, participation, and accessibility—both through technological innovation, and creative practice.
EMPAC Research invites artists and scholars across all abilities to ISATMA 2024. Two days of workshops, performances, and talks focus on technologies and training methods to improve our singing and speaking voices.
Voice is critical to personal identity and expression. Adaptive technologies and interventions can enrich the voice’s palate of expression and connection. The activities of this symposium provide an inclusive environment for those seeking to learn more about the voice and voice-related technology in general.
Activities include live and hybrid performances and workshops with adaptive technologies, as well as presentations and panels with scholars, technologists, and artists from the fields of voice science and pedagogy, voice therapy, music composition, performance, and advocacy.
